Ecological footprint reveals the pressure of regional ecological demand and ecological capacity is the significant standard for evaluating the sustainability of a region.As the hot method for evaluating ecological footprint and capacity,the ecological footprint method is universally applicable yet at the same time blamed for its defects.The modified model of ecological footprint analysis finds that the ecological accounts surplus in Yushu City is positive 10.6569 hm2 ,8.2769 hm2 , 7.0014 hm2 ,5.3803 hm2 per capita in 1 995-2013.Although there is surplus,it faces rapid decline.The major cause is becanse the yearly decrease of ecological capacity is rather severe,indicating that the future of ecological capacity of Yuchu City is not optimistic and that the principle of sustainable development must be followed so as to enhance the ecological capacity placidly.%生态足迹显示了区域生态需求的压力，生态承载力是评判区域可持续发展能力的重要标准.生态足迹法作为评判生态足迹与生态承载力的热门方法有其普适性，同时也具有一定缺陷，经过生态足迹改进模型对玉树市生态足迹与生态承载力进行计算后，生态账户显示该区域1995-2013年人均生态盈余分别为10.6569、8.2769、7.0014、5.3700 hm2.生态账户虽有盈余，但处于快速下降状态，主要原因为生态承载力年际同比下降较快，表明玉树市生态承载力发展前景不容乐观，必须以可持续发展为原则推动生态承载力平稳提高.
