By use of the Symptom Checklist (SCL-90)and General Well-being Scale,2382 freshmen in Fujian Higher Vocational Medical College were subj ected to a test so as to explore about their mental health,subj ective well-being status and the relationship in between.The results showed that students with moderate to severe psychological distress account for 7. 7%,indicating that the level of mental health is not optimistic;subj ective well-being is in the upper-middle level;most factors of gender and department are significantly different in terms of the SCL-90 and subjective well-being;each SCL-90 factor is sig-nificantly negatively correlated to the respective factor of subj ective well-being in terms of the dimensional score;relaxation-tension,depression-happiness and energy forecast 34.6% variation of mental health with the accountability power of 26.4%, 7.1% and 1.1% respectively.In conclusion,subjective well-being can well predict the mental health.%对福建某高职医学院2382名新生被试采用症状自评量表(SCL-90)和总体幸福感量表进行统一测量，以探究高职医学新生的心理健康、主观幸福感现状及其关系.结果表明，有中重度心理困扰的人员占总数的7.7%，心理健康水平不容乐观；主观幸福感处于中等偏上水平；SCL-90和主观幸福感大部分因子性别和系部差异显著；SCL-90各因子得分与主观幸福感各维度得分显著负相关；松弛与紧张、忧郁或愉快和精力联合预测心理健康34.6%的变异量，解释量分别为26.4%、7.1%和1.1%，主观幸福感可以较好预测心理健康.
