美国中学竞赛具有健全的组织管理体系、科学的竞赛方法、丰富的项目设置、持续高涨的参与度、合理的赛季安排等特征。在借鉴美国中学体育竞赛体系和分析我国学校体育竞赛现状的基础上提出我国中学应重视体育竞赛作用，树立以人为本的体育竞赛组织理念，建立大众化、日常化的竞赛模式。%The American middle school completion system is characterized by complete organization and manage-ment systems, scientific competition methods, various event settings, an ever increasing degree of participation, ra-tional competition season arrangements etc. By learning from the American middle school completion system and analyzing the current situation of school sports competitions in China, the authors put forward that middle schools in China should value the functions of sports competitions, establish a people oriented sports competition organization conception, and build popularized, routinized competition modes.
