As the first line of defense, the skin plays an important role in resisting the harmful factors of the outside and maintaining the steady state of the environment in the human body. The structure and function of the skin barrier has an important relationship with the occurrence and development of some skin diseases. Previous studies have found that the damage of skin barrier function may be an important cause of psoriasis. However, the exact mechanisms underlying skin barrier defects and psoriasis occurrence remain unknown.
