To provide the reference for reasonable application of magnesium fertilizer in Baise tobacco growing area, a field experiment was conducted to study the effects of magnesium fertilizer on yield, magnesium content and aroma components and smoking quality of flue-cured tobacco in Jingxi county during 2011-2012. The results indicated that magnesium fertilizers could increase the economic characters significantly. The economic characters of the 60 kg/hm2 magnesium treatment was the highest in 2011, 180 kg/hm2 in 2012, and the chemical components was more harmony, the smoking score was high. Compared with CK, the aroma components of 60-180 kg/hm2 were higher, but that of 240 kg/hm2 was lower. Therefore, the best application rate of magnesium fertilizer(MgSO4)was 120-180 kg/hm2 in Baise tobacco-planting soil.%采用大田试验，研究了不同镁肥用量对烤烟产量、镁含量及香气质量的影响。结果表明，施用镁肥能明显提高烤烟的经济效益，2011年以60 kg/hm2处理经济性状指标最优，2012年为180 kg/hm2处理；施用镁肥还能提高烟叶中镁含量，烤后烟叶化学成分含量较为协调，烟叶感官评吸得分高；除240 kg/hm2处理外，其他施镁处理主要致香物质及总致香物质含量均高于不施肥处理（CK）。因此，建议百色烟区生产上烤烟镁肥（硫酸镁）的适宜用量为120～180 kg/hm2。
