Kou Zhun is not only a very famous politician in the earlier period of the Northern Song Dynasty, but his achievements in poetry are remarkable, and the strong native complex in his poems is particularly outstanding. The causes of this native complex are closely related to his profound sentiments for his hometown and also to his dramatic life experiences which inspire his inner conflicts between "an official" and "a recluse".
