水墨形式语言是汉字文化圈中平面设计师使用的一种具有一定程度代表性的特殊的形式，随着本土意识的回归，设计师们越来越多地从本土文化中汲取养分，水墨形式语言也越来越多地运用在平面设计中。汉字文化圈中的日本立足民族特色重视设计的发展；韩国也利用设计打造民族品牌，用水墨凸显韩国传统文化；香港地区重视中华文化的传承，水墨形式语言受到追捧；大陆地区也逐渐重新发掘和认识传统文化中的精粹部分。水墨形式语言作为历经考验和不断锤炼的绘画形式，水墨有其精英意识和高雅情趣，几千前来为人们所深深喜爱。在平面设计中运用水墨形式语言，是对传统艺术乃至传统文化的一种继承和发扬，使得传统文化回归于大众的视野和日常生活，有着非同寻常的意义。水墨形式语言通过现代设计作品的重新演绎，更焕发了其顽强的生命力以及独特的艺术魅力，是不可多得的具有简洁的语言形式、丰富细腻的艺术变化、深厚的民族情感、广泛的社会认同的艺术语言。%Ink form language is a special representative form Chinese character designers used in the graphic form. With the return of native consciousness, designers derived rich nourishment from the native culture, and language forms of ink has been increasingly used in graphic design and has become widely popular. The other countries and regions, like Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and the mainland China also developed their language forms of ink and water with their own characteristics. The use of ink form language in graphic design is the continuation and develop- ment of traditional arts and culture, and of great significance to make traditional culture return to the common vision and daily life. What＇s more, their vitality and unique artistic charm embodied in the simple form has made it a widely accepted art language.
