Objective To understand the awareness of hypertension among Urumqi citizens and provide a scientific basis to the government in taking appropriate prevention measures.Methods From October in 2013 to October in 2014,a total of 800 people from Urumqi Tianshan District,Saybagh District,Xinshi District Shuimogou District,Toutunhe District,Dabancheng District,Midong District and Urumqi County were investigated on their awareness on hypertension related knowledge by using self-made questionnaire and stratified random cluster sampling method.Results The awareness condition of the diagnostic criteria of hypertension,the blood pressure in patients with hypertension treatment,factors of blood pressure fluctuations,recommended daily salt intake,prevention of hypertension when blood pressure is stable were statistically different between various nation people (χ2 were 7.129,24.308,11.629,30.091,23.421, 13.426,P <0.05);and the awareness condition of the diagnostic criteria of hypertension,the blood pres-sure in patients with hypertension treatment,factors affecting blood pressure fluctuations and recommen-ded daily salt intake of identifying cases were statistically different between different age groups (χ2 values were 17.597,22.335,13.135,14.084,P <0.05).Conclusion The factors influence the community resi-dents in Urumqi knowing about the hypertension related knowledge are ethnic and age factor.%目的：了解乌鲁木齐市居民高血压患者对高血压知识的知晓情况，为政府部门制定相应的防治措施提供科学依据。方法采用分层随机整群抽样的方法于2013年10月－2014年10月抽取乌鲁木齐市天山区、沙依巴克区、新市区、水磨沟区、头屯河区、达坂城区、米东区及乌鲁木齐县共800人通过自制问卷，进行高血压知识知晓情况的调查。结果不同民族居民对于高血压诊断标准、治疗高血压患者血压是否越低越好、血压波动的影响因素、推荐每日食盐摄入量、预防高血压的方式及血压稳定时是否服药相关知识的知晓情况均有统计学差异（χ2值分别为7．129、24．308、11．629、30．091、23．421、13．426，P 值均＜0．05）；不同年龄居民对于高血压诊断标准、治疗高血压患者血压是否越低越好、血压波动的影响因素和推荐每日食盐摄入量的知晓情况均有统计学差异（χ2值分别为17．597、22．335、13．135、14．084，P 值均＜0．05）。结论在众多高血压相关知识中，影响乌鲁木齐市社区居民知晓高血压相关知识的因素是民族及年龄因素。
