Based on Brown&Levinson’s“Face management”politeness theory , this article analyzes the interviewer’s speech action,“questioning”, in the English news interview. It discusses the relationship between English questions and politeness strategies, as well as English questions’ roles as politeness strategies.%运用布朗和莱文森的“面子管理”礼貌理论，通过分析英语新闻访谈节目主持人访谈中“提问”这一言语行为，探讨了主持人在访谈期间运用的英语疑问句与礼貌策略的关系及其主要作用。
