This paper makes research into the historical practice of post-colonial translation in British colonies such as Ireland,Indian,China＇s Hongkong,analyzes the similarities and differences among them,and finally discusses its enlightenment on college English education,that is,we should not only have open mind to accept the impact of foreign culture,but also protect and promote our native culture.%对受过英殖民统治的爱尔兰、印度和中国香港的后殖民翻译历史实践进行研究,分析他们的异同,最后探讨了其对大学英语教育的启示：既要有开放的心胸来接纳外来文化的冲击,也要做好本土文化的保护和发扬。
