College English newspaper reading is a course not only for language skill learning,but also for students＇ speculative ability training.Speculativeness should be integrated into the teaching to train both speculative and language ability,and both the quantitative and qualitative research methods should be used to investigate and assess students＇ speculative and language ability.The experiment result shows that this teaching mode could help improve both speculative and language ability.%大学英语报刊阅读不仅是语言技能学习课程,还是培养学生思辨能力的重要课程。在教学中应该以思辨为导入点,做到培养思辨能力和语言能力＂两手抓＂。采取思辨导入式教学模式对所授的两个大学英语平行班级进行了1学年的报刊阅读教学实验,同时采用定量与定性相结合的研究方法就该教学模式对学生思辨能力和语言能力的作用进行了调查和评估。实验结果表明,该教学模式有助于实现语言技能和思辨能力的双重提高。
