It can be fabricated on silica wafer,glass slide and nylon membrane by high throughput p rint ing or combining the light-directed chemical synthesis. The fluorescent dye mole cule can be incorporated in the DNA sample by polymerase chain reaction or other alternative methods.After hybridization of the DNA chip with the labeled sample targets,high-throughput gene sequence and expression information can be retrieve d by scanning of the DNA microarray and the analysis of computer .This technolog y has been applied to sequence DNA,monitoring expression of gene.It has develope d into screening gene mutation and polymorphism,and discovered new gene etc.
