Based on analyzing public library service for the Party and government institutions at home and abroad combining with practice of public library service for the Party and government institutions in Hunan Library this paper puts forward five countermeasures against public library service for the Party and govemrnent institutions in our country : to provide information service for the Party and government institutions by modem information technology ; To strengthen publicity in order to transform initia- tive service into passivity service ; to deepen service connotation promoting information service for the Party and government institutions to develop in depth ; to seize the specific "opportunity", to shoot the arrow at the target in order to provide services ; to build management way in order to ensure service standardization. So as to promote the sustainable development of service for the Party and government institutions.%在分析国内外图书馆为政府机构服务的基础上，结合湖南图书馆服务党政机关的工作实践，对我国公共图书馆服务党政机关提供了五点对策：充分利用现代信息技术，为党政机关提供信息服务；加大宣传推广，变“主动服务”为“被动服务”；深化服务内涵，推动党政信息服务向纵深发展；抓住特定“时机”，有的放矢提供服务；建立管理办法，确保服务规范化。以期推动党政信息服务的可持续发展。
