Pentraxin 3 (PTX3) is an acute phase protein induced by inflammatory signal stimulation, which is closely associated with rheumatic diseases. PTX3 has a variety of biological functions, which participates in innate immunity, regulates inflammatory response, affects the secretion of pro-inflammatory factors and vascular remodeling, therefore is of great significance in the development of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
