Li Shizhen,a great medical scientist,it is the 500th anniversary of his birth in 2018.Explaining the great contribution to human society which are made by Li Shizhen through seven aspects of Compendium of Materia Medica,such as compilation and publication process,foreword writing by WangShizhen,evaluation of celebrity or organization,the impact of the east to the west,the value of Traditional Chinese Medicine and traditional culture,general situation of modern application and so on,investigating the broad and profound scientific value.All in all,even though science and technology highly developed today, we can certain that Li Shizhen's contribution is great and the academic value of Compendium of Materia Medica is eternal.%2018年是伟大的医药学家李时珍诞辰500周年,本文试从《本草纲目》编撰和出版历程、王世贞为《本草纲目》题写序言、名人或组织对李时珍及《本草纲目》评价、《本草纲目》东学西渐的影响、《本草纲目》中医药学价值、《本草纲目》传统文化价值、《本草纲目》现代应用概况等七个方面去阐述李时珍对人类社会所做出的巨大贡献,探论《本草纲目》博大精深的科学价值.总而言之,即使在科学技术高度发达的今天我们仍然可以肯定:李时珍的贡献是伟大的,《本草纲目》的学术价值是永恒的.
