Prologue The rich scientific heritage of Dangsheng Su contains as substantial fraction his contributions to the field of catalysis with nanostructured carbon materials.Coming from microstructural analysis it became quickly clear that the richness of morphological and hence surface electronic variations in this class of materials should be suitable for the development of a science base for heterogeneous catalysis.
