摘要

Environmental monitoring is concerned with the measurement of the natural radioactivity arising from radioactive materials present in the surroundings and from cosmic rays. The detector materials used in the environmental dosemeters require a different set of performance characteristics to those used in personal dosimetry. The dose levels to be measured are much lower (requiring high sensitivity) the measurement periods are much longer (from months to years, requiring high thermal and optical stability) and the dosemeter often spends considerable periods exposed in the open ( requiring high moisture and chemical resistance). The advantanges of LiF; Mg, Cu, P thermoluminescence detector for environmental monitoring were described.%环境监测就是测量存在于环境中的放射性物质以及宇宙射线造成的天然放射性活度.用于环境剂量计的探测器材料需具备的性能与个人剂量计的不同,所测的剂量要低得多,需要高灵敏度;监测周期也要长得多,需要很高的热稳定性和光稳定性;剂量计常在野外放置相当长的时间,要求很高的抗潮湿性和化学稳定性.论文就LiF(Mg,Cu,P)热释光探测器在环境剂量监测的优越性进行了阐述.
