The aim of the study was to determine the spatial resolution of the small animal micro - CT system. A standard wire phantom was used to measure the modular transfer function (MTF) of the micro - CT system. On the imaging conditions with X - ray tube voltage of 40 kVp, exposure time of 1 second, detector mode of 2 × 2,and system magnification factor of 2, the measured system spatial resolution is ~ 11lp/mm at 10% MTF, which is about 91microns. The results showed that the small animal micro - CT that we developed has met our design goal to achieve the spatial resolution under 100 microns.%针对设计与研制的一台活体小动物X射线显微CT成像系统(Micro-CT),利用标准的细丝模具成像实验,测量该系统的调制传递函数(MTF)曲线,衡量整个系统的空间分辨率.该系统在其常规的成像条件下(X射线管电压为40 kvp,曝光时间1 s,几何放大倍数约2倍,探测器设置在2×2工作模式),测得系统的成像分辨率约11 lp/mm(MTF为0.1).测量结果表明,该系统的成像分辨率完全达到了100 μm的设计要求,能提供高质量的小动物成像.
