Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison is regarded as one of the classical works in contemporary Black American Literature.By briefly analyzing the causes and effects of racial discrimination,the study aims to explore the blacks' responses to it.It is concluded that the hero,as an"invisible man",should accept his black identity,admitting the blacks' tradition and cultural identity,then he can find his self-belonging in the black community.
