The purpose of this paper is to analyze the present situation of game teaching method in primary school,to find out the problems in the application of game teaching method and to forward the corresponding solutions.From the current development of English education,it has become a development trend to add games in teaching,Therefore,the paper advocates that English teach⁃ers in primary school use game teaching method to stimulate students’interest in learning spoken English.This thesis consists of three parts.Chapter one is an analysis the concept of game teaching method.Chapter two describes and analysis the problems in spoken English teaching in primary school.The final chapter puts forward some principles and measures to help primary school English teachers to improve students’spoken English ability.
