Moving chemical reaction boundary and isoelectric focusing (Ⅲ)——Comparisons between the transference numbers of H+ in the acids HBr, HCl and HI, and OH- in the alkali KOH
<正> In the previous report, it was inferred that the quasi/equal transference numbers of hydrogen and hy-droxyl ions exist in stationary electrolysis and Svensson’ s isoelectric focusing (IEF) . The purpose of the report is to prove this inference. Based upon some basic physical chemistry data, the transference numbers of H + in HBr5 HCl and HI solutions and of OH - in KOH solution were compared by the relative judgment expressions ( Rr) defined from the moving chemical reaction boundary equation (MCRBE) . The results manifest that even the limited values of Rr for the reaction electrolyte systems of HC1-KOH, HBr-KOH, HI-KOH and H2SO4-KOH are quite high (0.07-0.14), as compared with those limited values (0.02-0.03) for the reaction electrolytes of HCl-NaOH, HBr-NaOH, Ht-NaOH and H2SO4-NaOH, however one can conclude that the quasi/equal transference numbers of H+ and OH- exist in the systems of HC1-KOH, HBr-KOH, HI-KOH and H2SO4-KOH, when the system should not be diluted infinitely. Thus the findings demonst
