井下传输光缆的渗水率研究

         

摘要

对比了蓝宝石光纤和石英光纤在280℃高温、932 psi高压环境下的渗水率.为了提高恶劣环境下(油井等)的信号传输光缆的可靠性,通过蓝宝石光纤和石英光纤在1390 nm处的光损耗来定义渗水率的大小.实验结果表明:蓝宝石光纤的渗水率要大大低于石英光纤,是一种应用于恶劣环境的有效光纤.%The penetration rate of water in sapphire and silica optical fibers at elevated temperature and pressure is compared, which are usually the conditions in harsh environment sensing applications. The water penetration rate is studied by measuring the transmission attenuation rate at 1 390 nm for both fibers. The experimental result shows sapphire fiber is much more water-resistant in such an environment compared to silica fiber, which suggests that it is a strong candidate for harsh environment fiber sensing.
