Water contamination affects the aircraft safety and increase the maintenance cost. Currently aircraft have to be drained manually on ground at regular intervals to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Meanwhile, in order to reduce the aircraft fuel tank flammability, an On Board Inert Gas Generation System (OBIGGS) was applied to provide inert gas into the fuel system in the modern aircraft. Since the OBIGGS introduces dry and warm Nitrogen Enriched Air into the tank, it reduces the humidity of the ullage air.
