The‘Mengyuan’is a new Michelia variety which was selected from crossing Michelia chapensis × M. crassipes. It is an evergreen arbor and the tepals are faint yellow with purple halo at the edge of the upper. The florescence is from March to April. The cultivar can resist high temperature and prefers the warm and humid climate,thus it can be widely planted in the south of the Yangtze river.%‘梦缘’是以乐昌含笑为母本，以紫花含笑为父本进行杂交选育出来的新品种，常绿乔木，花被片中上部边缘具紫红色晕染，花期3—4月，能耐高温，喜温暖湿润的气候，可在江南各地广泛种植。
