Karel Kosík is the early one who pays attention to and studies the international focal is⁃sue of modernity. The peculiar“modern experience”of being imprisoned in the temporary Nazi con⁃centration camp in Terezín and philosopher’s self consciousness of a critical reflection lead him to understand the nature of modern world which controls the mass, disparages man and achieves a com⁃plete alienation, to discover kinds of modern spiritual symptoms, modern aggressive and destroying ab⁃surd horror and totalitarianism, and to disclose the deep mechanism of modern metaphysics as the source of modern crisis. At the same time to criticize modernity, Kosík points out emphatically that the return to Marxism an critical way of thought, we need dialectic reasoning to destroy mysterious⁃ness of modernity and simulating consciousness of modern man, we need revolutionary-critical human practice to destroy simulating concreteness and reveal universal and real process.%卡莱尔·科西克是欧美学术界较早地关注和研究现代性问题的思想家。独特的“现代性经验”以及哲学家批判性反思的自觉意识，使得他不但能够洞悉现代社会作为普遍化操控系统的异化本质、现代政治的异化和冰冷的技术理性，还能揭示出莫名的黑暗势力导致的现代人与世界的全面异化、现代性贬损人的物质主义及由此造成的现代人的精神蜕变以及人性边缘化所导致的人的本质的丧失，并最终揭橥作为现代性危机根源的虚无主义和暂存性这一现代形而上学神话的深层机制。科西克指出，要克服现代性的危机就必须用马克思的批判性思维抵抗虚假意识，用辩证推理摧毁现代性的神秘，以革命的-批判的人类实践摧毁伪具体，以辩证法取代形而上学。
