The Building Seismic Design Code of China GB 50011—2010 and the Building Seismic Design Code of Venezuela CONVENIN 1756:2001 are described and compared in aspects about the seismic design goal setting,site classification,structural important factor,the seismic response spectrum,focusing on how to determine the seismic response spectrum according to the code of Venezuela.
