Combining with the development present situation of municipal bridge engineering,this paper summarized the common abutment forms in city bridge design,namely the gravity abutment,light abutment,rib plate abutment,and elaborated the applicable conditions and mechanical characteristics of various abutments,provided theoretical basis for the selection of abutment form in bridge design.%结合市政桥梁工程的发展现状，总结出了城市桥梁设计中常用的桥台形式，即重力式桥台、轻型桥台、肋板式桥台，并对各种桥台的适用条件及受力特点进行了阐述，为桥梁设计中桥台形式的选取提供了理论依据。
