This paper discussed the concepts and characteristics of low carbon buildings, and the application status of policy and technology pro-moted its development at home and abroad, analyzed the necessity and urgency of developing low carbon buildings in China, points out that un-der the background of global warming, the development of low carbon buildings not only the need of economic development, but also the inevita-ble choice pursuit of comfortable life.%论述了低碳建筑的概念及特点，以及推动其发展的政策和技术在国内外的应用现状，分析了我国发展低碳建筑的必要性和紧迫性，指出在全球气候变暖的背景下，低碳建筑的发展既是经济发展的需求，也是人们追求舒适生活的必然选择。
