The paper analyzes the mechanism for cracks on the masonry structure,including the uneven settlement changes on foundation,tem-perature changes,and dry shrinkage,introduces the cracks features for various reasons,and points out respective prevention measures,so as to improve the quality of buildings’walls.%对地基不均匀沉降、温度变化、混凝土砌块干缩变形等引起砌体结构裂缝的机理进行了分析，并对不同原因产生的裂缝特点作了介绍，同时提出了相应的防治措施，以提高建筑墙体的质量。
