This paper introduced the meaning and responsibility of engineering supervision,and discussed the strategies to promote the develop-ment of supervision industry,put forward improvement the supervision quality,development of supervision and training work,increasing supervi-sion intensity and other suggestions,pointed out that the supervision industry also need the support of government departments in many aspects.%对工程监理的含义与责任进行了介绍，并对促进监理行业发展的策略进行了探讨，提出了提高监理素质、开展监理培训工作、加大监管力度等建议，并指出监理行业的发展还需政府部门多方面支持。
