Directed-energy weapons is a new kind of weapon, they will likely be used for aircraft carriers. This paper introduces the development and basic principle of the directed-energy weapon technology currently being developed abroad, and analyzes the potential application direction of the directed-energy weapon in the carrier and aircraft carrier fleet.
