The word “Makers” was coined by the British science fiction writer Cory Doctorow, and the homologous ideas were publicized by Americans Dale Dougherty and Chris Anderson. The Maker Movement illustrates well that the masses push forward the society with the aid of technology, and it cannot go forward without the Maker Culture. The Maker Culture originated and thrives in America because of the genes coming from the Garage Culture, the Silicon Valley Culture, the DIY Culture and the Hacker Culture.
