At the end of the Qing Dynasty , the social situation experienced great changes , which brought about con-stant collision in people′s leisure and recreation life .Due to causes including the profound historical culture , the backward traffic system, the conservative ideology , people′s adherence to social customs , and the slow population growth , there has formed in Shanxi a kind of leisure and recreation pattern ,with the traditional style of leisure and recreation taking the lead-ing position with the slow development in the new way of leisure .%清末民初，时局变革，新旧休闲娱乐生活不断发生碰撞。因深厚的历史文化底蕴、落后的近代交通、保守的思想观念、坚守的社会习俗以及缓慢的人口增长等原因，山西形成了传统休闲娱乐方式占据主导、新式休闲娱乐方式发展缓慢的休闲娱乐格局。
