热光可调聚合物波导布拉格光栅的设计与优化

         

摘要

In this paper,we investigate the method to improve the thermo-optic modulation efficiency of Waveguide Bragg Grat-ings (WBG)based on polymer material.According to the optical characteristics of polymer materials,a third-order WBG is de-signed.The effects of WBG structure parameters on the optical transmission spectrum of the WBG are also analyzed.In order to improve the thermo-optic modulation efficiency,anembedded electrode structure combined with the Air Trenches (AT)sym-metrically beside the WBG is proposed.The simulation results show that the wavelength-tuning sensitivity of the propose WBG structureis increased by 1.87 times,which can achieve a broad wavelength-tuning range.Compared with general thermo-optic modulation structures,the designed thermo-optically tunable WBG features strong heated ability,high heat uniformity and low thermal crosstalk.%对提高基于聚合物材料的 WBG(波导布拉格光栅)的热光调制效率的方法进行了研究。根据聚合物材料的光学特性设计了三阶的 WBG,仿真分析了 WBG结构参数对光栅传输特性的影响;为提高热光调制效率,采用了内嵌式电极结构与在WBG两侧构建 AT(空气沟槽)相结合的方案。模拟结果表明,与一般热光型调制结构相比,该方案的波长调谐灵敏度提升了1.87倍,实现了大范围的波长可调。所设计的热光可调 WBG具有受热性强、热均匀性高及热串扰低等优点。
