中国古籍中的"东鳀"实指何处,一直以来都有争论.从日本史的研究和材料反观,则可确定其不在九州或本州.从文献记载所见字名音韵、地理方位、物产、族群分布和政治势力等方面比对论证,东鳀当在琉球至北台湾一带,鳀人是4世纪前在东亚海域活动的主要族群之一.用后世文献疏证,既须审视史料编纂的过程,亦须注意概念的变动,排除这种干扰,东鳀所在也更清晰,对早期琉球和台湾史相关的认知亦能有所提升.%There has always been an argument about where the"Dongti"refers to in ancient Chinese books. According to the study of Japanese history and the historical documents, we know for sure that the Dongti ethnic group was not in Kyushu or Honshu. On the other hand, based on the records of the literature in phonology, geography, local products, ethnic distribution, and political forces, we can also conclude that Dongti were located around Ryukyu and northern Taiwan,and its ethnic group was one of the major groups in the East Asian Seas before the fourth century. This paper reviews the process of the compilation of historical data,focuses the concept changes of the ethnic division and eliminates this kind of interference. Hence, the location of Dongti is clearer, and at the same time, we can also gain a better understanding of the early history of Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan.
