At present,no country can achieve development and stability without obtaining economic growth to create more wealth and ensuring that the fruits of economic growth are widely shared.Disadvantaged groups,especially poor populations,exist in all countries,and the government should offer assistance to them.However,such assistance only provides subsistence,and little more.If the poor want to change their destiny,live better,and plan for the future,they must make every endeavor possible to achieve a higher social status and acquire more physical assets.Microcredit gives the poor just such a means of better living.Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus is a typical example of using commercially sustainable microcredit to help the poor change their lives for the better.Only after poverty is eradicated can society become peaceful.
