China is facing profound and complicated changes to both the domestic and external conditions.As a major economy with a massive market,China cannot and should not rely too much on external demand.The underlying logic behind China’s pursuit of high-quality economic development in the 14th Five-Year Plan period(2021‒2025)is to foster a new development paradigm with domestic circulation as the mainstay and domestic and international circulations reinforcing each other.This overarching goal will also guide China’s overall economic development and social progress.
