PDMS 3D design software is used in the offshore platform engineering design, the proportional 3D entity modeling is used. It perfectly combines with other application softwares. It improves the quality and efficiency of the engineering design, and also improves the whole project design progress. This paper takes an offshore heavy oil exploration project as an example to mainly introduce the electrical design and optimization methods by using PDMS software.%PDMS三维设计软件应用于海上平台工程的设计，全比例三维实体建模，并能与其他应用软件完美的结合，不但提高了工程设计的质量与效率，同时也提高了整个工程设计进度。本文以一个海上重油开采项目为例，主要介绍运用PDMS软件进行电气设计和优化的方法。
