It is a major topic for engineering and technical staff when the main mine hoist was determined that how to improve productivity and optimize parameter of hoist systems. Through optimization design for a copper mine hoist, the tramcar weight was lighted, the nominal tensile strength of the hoist rope was enhanced, and the power of motor and security coefficient of hoist rope were checked. The production capacity was improved and the economic benefit was increased.
