Combined with the training of mineral processing majors for skill competition, this article discusses how to cultivate students' operational ability, and puts forward the concrete method—"guiding" and the matters needing attention in the process of operation. This method is not only suitable for mineral processing major but also suitable for other majors’cultivation of operational ability.%本文通过对矿物加工专业学生参加技能大赛的培训为例，探讨了如何培养高职学生的动手能力，提出了“引导”这一具体的方法及方法操作过程中的注意事项。该方法不但适用于矿物加工学生动手能力的培养，其他专业学生的动手能力也可以适用。
