The land remediation is not an isolated event, it always occurs in a certain economic and social environment, and it acts and interacts with the natural system, economic system and the whole social system. The natural system is not going to change in a certain period of time, but the economic and social environment is changing constantly under the role of human activity. Therefore, occurrence and development of land reclamation is closely related to the development of economic society. This paper tries to show that the economic and social development has the good role in promoting the land remediation by analyzing the economic and social environment condition of Balidian town.%土地整治不是一个单独事件，总是发生在一定的经济社会环境内，与自然系统、经济系统乃至整个社会系统相互作用、相互影响。自然系统在一定时期内是不会改变的，但是经济、社会环境却是在人类活动的作用下不断地发生着变化的。因此，土地整治的发生发展与经济社会的发展密切相关。本文试图通过对八里店镇的经济、社会环境状况进行分析，这就说明经济社会的发展对整治土地有着很好的推动作用。
