But a lot of computation redundancy exists in the traditional implementation of JPEG2000 encoder, in particular at the lower bit rate. That makes the encoder need more encoding time and working memory size. In order to reduce the computational complexity, the paper proposed a new JPEG 2000 image size conversion algorithm, the algorithm can greatly reduce the image conversion required computation amount and time.
