It is the basis to guarantee the power system safety and economic operation. This paper briefly introduces short-term load forecasting research methods, analyzes the chaos theory prediction methods, including phase space reconstruction etc. In addition, choosing appropriate comprehensive prediction model is the main method to improve forecasting precision.
