马来西亚社区大学高收入毕业生职业生涯发展中的妥协问题研究

         

摘要

This study was undertaken to explore the aspects of c ompromise of community college graduates in the development of their careers. Compromise is required when there is a mismatch between person and job characteristics and/or face of perceived or real barrier. They have to give up or modify a desired goals in their career development in order to succeed in their career. This qualitative research using multiple case study methods involved five community college graduates who have gone through compromise process but relatively successful in their modified goal careers and were able to generate high income. The study observed the presence of 4 factors of compromise and 3 compromise processes to modify their career goals. Factors of compromise are limited prospects, gender constrains, no family blessing and economic downturn. Process of compromise covered less prestigious, more demanding or challenging, and pursued the studies.%探讨马来西亚社区大学高收入毕业生职业生涯发展中的妥协问题。当毕业生面对个人与工作特性不匹配时,必须做出妥协,即只有放弃或者调整职业发展目标才能获得真正的成功。本研究采用多案例研究法,探讨影响妥协的四个因素和调整职业生涯目标的三个妥协过程。影响妥协的因素分别是:有限的就业前景、性别限制、家庭不支持、经济不景气。妥协的表现有:接受声望不太高的工作,选择要求更高、更具有挑战性的工作,选择学习深造。
