The ethnic regions of Gansu Province are underdeveloped and have more poor people. The reasons for it are mainly that there are such restricted factores as scurviness ecological environment, out-dated ideology, low population quality, unreasonable industrial structure, and so on. Therefore, to efectively eliminate poverty, some strategies are presented in this paper based on the reality conditions of the minority areas. The strategies are renewing ideas, promating employment, improving skills, optimizating industries, and protecting ecosytem.%甘肃民族地区经济社会发展滞后，贫困人口多。究其原因，主要是受生态环境恶劣、思想观念陈旧、人口素质不高、产业结构不合理等因素制约。因此，文章提出立足民族地区实际，通过大力发展职业教育，更新观念、促进就业、提高技能、优化产业以及保护生态的措施有效消除贫困的策略选择。
