The mode and connotation of vertical planting is discussed,and some deficiencies existed in the domestic development process is put forward:it is concluded that research is not systematic,there is no the industry standard and its scope of application is narrow.the development prospect of three-dimensional afforesting is discussed,combined with markets, profits,business and other aspects in order to provide theoretical and practical bases for the development of three-dimensional afforesting.%论述了立体绿化的内涵、模式，提出国内发展过程中存在的几点不足：研究不系统、没有行业标准、应用范围较窄。结合市场、利润、商机等方面论述了立体绿化今后的发展前景，旨在为立体绿化发展提供理论及现实两方面的依据。
