This article views higher vocational education, social economy, employment problems and education reform as the real basis for constructing social capital of higher vocational colleges by analyzing connotation and core value of social capital in higher vocational colleges. Put forward that the social capital is the indispensable condition for the development of higher vocational colleges. At present, the difficulty behind the development of higher vocational colleges is the realistic basis to generate social capital. The core value of social capital in higher vocational colleges is the cooperation between schools and enterprises, and win-win development. Based on market mechanisms to promote school-enterprise cooperation is the key to break predicament, or namely the cooperation between school-enterprise under the market mechanisms is the source of living water of social capital of higher vocational colleges.%文章通过解析高职院校社会资本的内涵及核心价值，认为高职教育与社会经济、就业难题以及教育改革是构建高职院校社会资本的现实依据，提出了社会资本是高职院校发展不可或缺的条件。当前高职院校发展背后的困局是其生成社会资本的现实依据。高职院校社会资本的核心价值在于校企合作，共赢发展。而以市场机制推进校企合作是突破困局的关键，或者说市场机制下的校企合作是高职社会资本的活水之源。
