In large-scale topographic mapping, for the dangerous area and the inaccessible area due to traffic conditions, the survey cannot be completed by using traditional electric plane-table mapping. Terrestrial 3D laser scanner can collect coordinate information directly as precise as the Electronic Total Station with the characteristics of high accuracy, fully digitalization and flexible measurement mode, which can preferably satisfy the requirements of survey in complex topographic area. The paper intro-duces the application of terrestrial 3D laser scanning technology in the survey. The methods and procedures of field data collecting and topographic maps processing of the survey by using terrestrial 3D laser scanner are illustrated in detail. Furthermore, the ad-vantages and existing problems of the terrestrial 3D laser scanning technology in large-scale topographic survey are summarized.%在大比例尺地形图测绘中,对于受交通条件限制、地势险要、人员无法到达的测绘区域,采用传统的电子平板测图方式无法完成测量工作。而地面三维激光扫描仪能像全站仪一样直接采集精确的坐标信息,具有测量精度高、全数字化、测量方式灵活的特点,可较好满足复杂地形区域大比例尺地形图的测绘。介绍了三维激光扫描技术在大比例尺地形测量中的应用,详细说明了使用三维激光扫描仪进行大比例尺地形测量的外业数据采集及内业成图处理的方法和步骤,并归纳总结了目前该技术在大比例尺地形测量应用中的优势和尚需解决的问题。
