Objective To observe the efficacy of hawthorn formula granules and simvastatin on carotid intima-media thickness(IMT)in patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods 152 cases of carotid IMT were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 76 cases in each group. Two groups were given insulin to control blood glucose and simvastatin 20 mg per night,on this basis,the observation group was added with hawthorn formula granules 1 packet per night,after 6 months of treatment,the efficacy was observed. Before and after treatment,the carotid artery IMT,plaques area and the levels of blood -fasting sugar(FPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc),serum lipids and so on were detected in the two groups. Results After 6 months of treatment,compared with the control group,TC,LDL-C,carotid artery IMT were significantly lower in the observation group(P<0.05),HDL-C was increased(P<0.05),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Hawthorn formula granules combined with simvastatin can regulate serum lipids metabolism,reduce the carotid artery IMT.%目的：观察山楂配方颗粒联合辛伐他汀对糖尿病患者颈动脉内膜中层厚度（IMT）的疗效影响。方法将152例颈动脉IMT增厚的糖尿病患者随机分为观察组和对照组，每组各76例。两组均用胰岛素控制血糖，给予辛伐他汀20mg/晚，观察组在此基础上加用山楂配方颗粒1包/晚，治疗6个月观察疗效。治疗前后检测两组颈动脉IMT、斑块面积和空腹血糖（FPG）、糖化血红蛋白（HbAlc）、血脂等。结果治疗6个月后，与对照组比较，观察组TC、LDL-C、颈动脉IMT明显降低（P<0.05），HDL-C明显升高（P<0.05），两组比较差异有统计学意义（P<0.05）。结论山楂配方颗粒联合辛伐他汀可以调节脂代谢，降低颈动脉IMT。
