The Baiquan sluice is reconstructed at the long mad between Zhoushan Power Plant and Diaolang Reclamation Project. The sluice engineering was influenced by the surrounding power plant and buildings, especially the 24 - hour continuously drainage of cooling water from power plants can not be influenced. The narrow construction site, soft foundation and lots of surrounding constructions increased the difficulty in engineering arrangement and construction. The eomtruetion adopted the proper engineering techniques in the light of local conditions to ensure the construction quality and time schedule.
